Please note that while we are dedicated to connecting families with dependable support, we cannot guarantee a perfect match for every family's unique needs, and this arrangement may not work for all; however, we remain committed to doing what we can to help individuals with disabilities and their primary caregivers be active and supported in our rural Northwest Ohio communities.

For Families Looking for Help

Request Assistance:
If your family in the rural Northwest Ohio Counties of Henry, Defiance, Fulton, Paulding, Putnam, Van Wert, or Williams is in need of in-home or community support, please use the Request for Help form on this page. We will work with you to create a tailored job posting that highlights your unique needs that can then be shared. When submitting your request, please include your name, contact information, location, hours needed, the age of your loved one, and your funding source (e.g., Board of Developmental Disabilities, insurance, private pay, etc.).

Please Note - We encourage you to exercise caution when submitting details through our contact form. Please provide only the information necessary to address your inquiry, and consider using secure communication methods when appropriate. While we take every measure to maintain the highest standards of data security and confidentiality, we advise you to be mindful of the information you disclose online.

For Those Looking to Help

Explore Career Opportunities:
Discover how you can make a difference in our community by pursuing a role as an Independent Provider or a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT).

  • Independent Provider:
Independent providers offer a range of services—including personal care, habilitation, and respite care—directly to individuals with developmental disabilities in their homes and communities. This role offers flexibility in designing and delivering services while remaining accountable to state guidelines. Payment is generally managed through the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities, with specifics varying by service type and contractual framework. For more details on becoming an independent provider, please see our Checklist for Becoming an Independent Provider.

  • Registered Behavior Technician (RBT):
An RBT is a paraprofessional trained to implement behavior analytic interventions to support individuals with autism and related developmental challenges. Working under the direct supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), RBTs provide personalized ABA services in the home, community, childcare centers, ect. aimed at enhancing communication, social, and adaptive skills while addressing behavioral challenges. Our organization can work with families to help find a BCBA (often via remote means). Families may cover the cost of ABA therapy through the autism scholarship program, private insurance, a waiver, or out-of-pocket payments. For further information on becoming an RBT, please review our Checklist for Becoming an RBT.

If you are already an independent provider or a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) interested in working directly with families, please feel free to reach out to us and we will do what we can to connect you to someone that may need your assistance.

A Few Important Reminders:
We understand that waiting can be challenging, and we appreciate your patience, trust, understanding during this time. Our team is committed to building meaningful connections for both families and job seekers, but due to various factors and availability, we cannot guarantee a match for every request.

Additionally, while we work to connect families with potential candidates, please note that we do not guarantee that any applicant will be a good fit for your specific needs, nor are we vouching for their qualifications. Families are expected to take an active role in the interview and application process, which includes coordinating the final approval, verifying the necessary credentials, and managing payment arrangements. Ultimately, ensuring that an applicant meets all requirements is the responsibility of the family.

We call on each applicant to please commit wholeheartedly to being dependable, safe, consistent, and willing to collaborate.
